The Little Mermaid (Copenhagen, Denmark)
One of the most vandalized landmarks in the world, Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid statue has been painted, dismembered and even beheaded. The statue was commissioned in 1909 and was beheaded in 1964. Drunk college students cut her arm off and returned it two days later.
