Nowadays, you can actually visit the old boomtowns that turned into ghost towns during the Gold Rush. These mining sites are often found in national parks, like Bodie, for example. You can still see some of the town's buildings, and there are museums and preserved structures where you can check out items and machinery from the Gold Rush era. It's like stepping back in time!
