Trying To Push Him Out As he stared at the mess on his freshly mowed lawn, he grew increasingly frustrated. Streamers, paper cups, and food were all spread across his yard. Who would act in such a manner? It had only been a few weeks since he had moved into the area. Were they trying to get him out of there? He couldn't believe his fate as a first-time homeowner. In order to enclose his property, he purchased a fence at the local hardware store. In spite of his desire not to be confrontational, he needed to defend his property from rude people who didn't respect his boundaries. As he paid for the fence on his house, he regretted buying it. Despite everything he had invested in his lawn, it seemed all his efforts were in vain. The situation had become stressful for him because he felt as if he was the only one who cared about his property. As he felt depressed, he remembered his children. A Last Resort Pexels Although he was frustrated, Terrence persevered in building the fence. The property belonged to him, so no matter what happened, he would protect it. The fence looked good, and his hunch was that it would restrict people's movement away from the grass. Although his lawn was fenced in, people still attempted to cut through it. There were some who climbed over the fence, while there were others who simply walked around it. They Kept On Doing It Pexels The rudeness and entitlement of some people shocked Terrence. Despite the fence being there for a reason, people were still trespassing on his grounds. In his opinion, he felt as if he was losing the battle. Finally, they could utilize their home's space. Although Terrence was frustrated, he was happy with the solution he found. His property was under his control, and he was protecting his children. Their decision was to submit a formal complaint to the municipality. Terrence was terrified, he didn't want to get into any legal trouble. The sensor went off, followed by the sprinklers and siren, scaring the children. Terrence realized that his invention had led to the neighborhood kids feeling anxious and fearful. He decided to create a natural barrier around the perimeter of his lawn by planting some bushes. As well as keeping people off his lawn, the bushes made the street more attractive. It felt good for Terrence to find the perfect balance between protecting his property and being a good neighbor with this new solution. Demanding Neighbors Pexels Despite his new addition, not everyone was pleased. Mrs. Wilson complained that Terrence's bushes blocked her view and demanded they be removed. Despite Terrence's efforts to calm her down, she became frantic and called her husband to come outside. "I've lived here for forty years, and I've never seen a neighbor like you," she said frantically. Upon reaching Terrence's residence, the officers realized that it was just a neighborly complaint and gave him a warning. As a result, the exhausted father had had enough, he was unable to please anyone anymore. It was important to them to maintain the same quality of life in their neighborhood. The bushes had to be removed, which left Terrence feeling defeated.
