Discovery Of An Abandoned Mine On Property Leaves Man Astonished, Bringing Him To His Knees

Something Extra His jaw dropped when he realized what he'd found. The only thing he expected when he bought the property was what he saw. His discovery, however, made him smile ear-to-ear. As a result of his discovery, he thought he would be able to make a fortune. It became a nightmare not long after he discovered it. His First Home Pexels A beautiful property with a diameter of at least a few hectares had just been purchased by Christopher. Upon moving into his new home, he decided to take a walk around. It wasn't something he expected to discover on his property, though. When he informed his real estate agent, she immediately contacted the authorities. Ignoring The Warnings Pexels As soon as Christopher got the call from the police, he was urged to keep away from the tunnel. His exploration of the abandoned tunnels continued despite the warnings. Nobody could tell him what he could do with his property. No matter how many people told him not to enter, he ignored them all. As a result of his greed, his life would be forever altered. A Beautiful Scene Pexels Christopher Wanliss had just bought the wooded 16.5-hectare property and was delighted to have such ample space to spread out. There had been a very severe winter, so the leaves had mostly been peeled away. It was, however, a strangely beautiful scene to him. He soon found himself wandering aimlessly while the wind blew in gusts, and he soon heard unsettling bird sounds. An Old Mine Pexels While walking above the rise, Christopher snapped out of his daydream and continued toward the object he thought he saw. Approaching slowly, he noted that it was small, hidden in a hillside, and dark. The excitement and mild dread gripped him so that he ignored where he was putting his feet. The slope was too steep for Christopher, so he lost his footing. It appeared to be an abandoned mine without maintenance for a long time. Inquisitive, he explored inside and wondered what might be there. Moss Everywhere Pexels At the mine's entrance, Christopher could see moss clinging to the walls but inside was utterly dark. "When we purchased the home, we were still waiting to hear that the estate had many mines. The gold mine was discovered by accident one day, and that was all. I was so ecstatic when I first saw it that I nearly passed out. I was thinking mainly of Indiana Jones and the underground railways," he recounted. Shiny Walls Pexels Getting a flashlight from the house, he hurried back outside to investigate the mystery in his backyard, not thinking that this was one of the worst decisions of his life. He approached the entrance of the mine with his flashlight and breathed deeply as he entered. As the flashlight beam illuminated the walls, they appeared to shimmer. Exactly what did he discover? Exploring Pexels As he walked through the dim hallway, he could see that the moist, ancient walls were about to crumble. His flashlight had three extra batteries because he expected to spend at least a few hours here. After studying the walls closely, he noticed they were shining. The possibility of it being gold crossed his mind humorously. Nevertheless, he quickly dismissed the idea when he observed something that would drastically change his enjoyment of the day. Cold And Dark Pexels In spite of the warm weather outside, it was extremely wet and chilly in the mine. The four-inch mud impressions left by his footsteps were immediately evident. A small amount of water had flowed into the puddles, which appeared to be flowing without showing any signs of stagnation. Despite peeping straight ahead with his flashlight, he could not see any light at the end of the tunnel. There was, however, somebody or something present. There was a sudden reverberation of sounds coming from behind. Without realizing it, he followed the noise. Getting Ready To Fight Pexels Continuing along the pathway, Christopher kept moving forward. As if it were a sword, he held his flashlight in front of him. Again, the screaming sounds are louder this time. It sounded like machinery scraping metal against metal. Despite hearing voices inside the mine, he was unable to understand them. "Who's there?" he cried, and only his echo responded. Following The Water Pexels The ventilation system was old, yellow, and rotting. In addition to being low and close together, the chains were rusting and molding simultaneously. It made sense to follow the path of the water since it must have come from somewhere. Could someone live down here? Seeing A Light Pexels When Christopher turned around, he saw a welcoming light coming from the tunnel entrance after traveling almost 150 feet into the tunnel. It seemed as if an invisible force was propelling one of the chains slightly but with strength. As he ran back the way he came, his heart started thudding inside his chest as he realized that someone was watching him. Calling His Agent Pexels As soon as he returned to his home, he picked up his phone and called his real estate agent. Christopher later remarked, "There are a lot of little mines scattered across these hills that were worked at the turn of the century." The agent informed him that someone would be viewing the mysterious mine. From the tips of his toes to the top of his ears, Christopher felt immense relief after the call ended. Just as his muscles started to relax, his whole body tense up once again. Flickering Lights Pexels His kitchen lights flickered silently as Christopher hung up the phone. With his chest tightened, he breathed rapidly. Suddenly, everything went black as flickering lights showed him snapshots of his kitchen. In the blink of an eye, he noticed that the temperature had dropped quickly, and his breath had become foggy. "How strange," Christopher thought. In spite of this, he was determined to regain power. His first stop was the circuit breaker. It was probably a blown fuse, or there had been an accident. The Problem Pexels A flash of the light showed that everything was in order as he approached the breaker. It looked like the main fuse hadn't blown, and everything was where it was supposed to be. To see if the lights would miraculously turn back on, he investigated inside the box and tried different switches. Upon hearing this, he breathed a sigh of relief. Despite the nervousness that wracked his body, he quietly said, "It's the wiring." After pouring cold water and calming his nerves, the doorbell rang. A Knock On His Door Pexels Mr. Rudall answered the door, introducing himself as Christopher's real estate agent and explaining what Christopher had found on his land. In addition to guiding him to the mine, Christopher also advised him to watch his step. Like a thousand crystals, the light bounced back into their eyes. Upon entering the mine, Rudall could no longer contain his excitement as he examined the stone walls. While turning to Christopher, he felt something trying to communicate with him in the mine. Listening To The Story Pexels Interestingly, Rudall informs Christopher that the mine had been abandoned a long time ago. According to his interpretation of the walls, the miners abandoned the mine because they couldn't finish their job. What's the reason? As he explained that something terrible must have occurred for all that gold to remain untouched, his eyes grew more and more terrified. Immediately, Christopher wanted to figure out what was going on. Getting To The Bottom Of Things Pexels While he summoned all his courage, Christopher had two thoughts about further investigating the mine. It's possible to find gold inside, but the mine may also be haunted. As he entered, he had spare batteries in his pocket and his flashlight in hand. He was engulfed in darkness as he continued to descend the path away from the light at the entrance. In spite of the fading light behind him, he kept going. Eventually, he understood where the water was coming from at 600 feet. Suddenly, a door appeared. Taking a deep breath, he squeezed his legs closer as he knocked twice, but he knew he would not get a response. When he turned the handle, he was shocked by what he saw. Another World Pexels Suddenly, he found himself in a completely different world. Regardless of the outside temperature, this room was freezing. The walls were rougher and colder than those outside this mysterious room, he noticed when he reached out to touch them. There was a feeling of cloying claustrophobia that clambered inside him, but then something caught his attention in the flashlight's light. The room was filled with rubble lying in a heap, destroyed. It didn't make any sense at all. What kind of person would leave without their belongings? Christopher felt tight in the chest as the air became thicker. There was something strange happening here, but what? Questions Pexels In the rubble, a bed spring could be seen sticking out. In addition to looking worn and rusty, it answered Christopher's question. Apparently, someone lived here but was in a hurry to leave. However, from what? Despite Christopher's repeated consideration of this idea, something else caught his attention. In the wall, there was a hideaway. Who would need a hideaway in an abandoned mine, hidden in a secret room? Then it dawned on him. Someone must be hiding something. Despite his curiosity, he is disappointed to find the mysterious hole in the wall empty. He noticed something on the wall as he was about to turn around and continue down the tunnel. Scratches On The Wall Pexels His flashlight illuminated a strange white scratch inside the hidey-hole. Upon closer inspection, he realized they were parallel lines, gouging four at a time. After a while, he realized these scratches must have been made by hand. There was a superficial depth to the scratches, but they left a mark on the cement. Are these marks the work of someone or something? Where were they now? His thoughts were interrupted as he turned to see something that would haunt him for the rest of his life. Another Discovery Pexels Further markings were found on the opposite wall. The lines were not vertical; they were words, but he was unable to decipher them. After pulling out his camera, he took a photograph of the message so he could study it later. Behind him, he heard a loud noise. Coldness swept over him, sucking out all warm thoughts and emotions. It began from behind, moved to the front, and then engulfed him. As the noise grew louder and more frantic, he ran. Running Away Pexels His spine pricked with shivers, and his veins became icy from running so fast. There was something off about this. Despite his mind's warning, his body dragged him toward the light of the entrance as if he depended on it. Upon bursting from the mine, he fell to the ground clutching his chest in pain. It should have been obvious to him, everything seemed so appropriate, yet it was wrong in every way. It would have been too good to be true if there had been a gold mine, and he knew that. Getting up, he ran all the way home through the woods. It was the first time in his life that he had ever run like that. Doing Research Pexels Upon reaching his house, he immediately went to the study, locking the door behind him. That mine held something sinister, and he had to find out what it was. Searching for 'haunted mines,' he awaited the results tensely. It was then that he felt it. He had that thing with him from the mine. There was someone else with him. A hushed whisper erupted all around him as he whirled around. Is he going insane? There was a sudden halt to the whispering. His heavy breathing was all he could hear as the temperature plummeted. The first result on Google said: "If you want to get rid of paranormal activity in your life and in the mine, you have to face it." But could he do that? What were his chances of making it leave him alone if he went back? Being Brave Pexels There were three knocks on Christopher's door. "Hello?" he said, swallowing the lump in his throat as he took a few tentative steps towards the door handle. Twisting it, he prayed, but it opened easily. A soft whirring sound startled him as he walked over to the kitchen. The sound had come from his camera. Picking it up, he was puzzled. He thought he turned it off as soon as he entered his house. Upon checking his photos, he found that they had all disappeared. Who deleted him from the SD card? He walked out the door, swinging the camera by its strap over his shoulder. He was going to face whatever was inside this time. Trying Again Pexels For the third time, Christopher summoned all the courage he could muster. Darkness greets him at first, but he realizes his error soon after. Having run out of the black passage twice already, it seemed even darker than before. He assumed that his flashlight had run out and continued. When he walks through the puddles of water, a cold gust of wind hits him in the face. Upon impact, he is left shaking, but he hears the metal screeching again. Although he had to face it, he didn't realize what he had done. The Terrible Noise Pexels As he walked through the tunnel, his body suddenly stopped. Suddenly, his ears rang in pain from the noise. He was surrounded by screeching metal noise like a cacophony. As far as he was concerned, it was the most terrifying sound he had ever heard. As Christopher waited, his head was buried in his hands. Suddenly, everything ceased to exist. A wave of indescribable terror swept over him as he looked up. Another Terrifying Noise Pexels As he walked through the dark tunnel, his body suddenly stopped. Suddenly, his ears rang in pain from the noise. There was a cacophony of screeching metal noise around him, like a hurricane of metal noise. He had never heard anything so terrifying. As Christopher waited, his head was buried in his hands. Suddenly, everything ceased to exist. A wave of indescribable terror swept over him as he looked up. Getting Cold Feet Pexels From the tunnel's rock ceiling, the rusted chains started swinging rhythmically. The sound of swooshing water was so hypnotizing to him that he could not even process it. He saw a tidal wave of water approaching him as his eyes began to focus. A roaring sound of water broke the brittle silence, sending Christopher into a fit of rage. He gathered strength to run to the light, the entrance, his head pounding and his body screaming for oxygen. Now what could he do? Whatever was in there, he could not face it. Going Back Home Pexels His salvation awaited him outside the gold mine. Perplexed, he glanced back once more. He saw no wall of water roaring at him - in fact, he did not see any water. The entrance was free of puddles. Bewildered, he only saw his footsteps. Returning home, he began walking. His first thought was to call someone, but who could help him with paranormal activity? There was only one thing he knew: he could not live like this any longer. Walking through the woods, he saw his kitchen light twinkle in the distance. He didn't remember leaving the light on.
