The Cysyllte Bridge is one of Britain’s greatest achievements in civil engineering. It stretches from Trefor Isaf township to the old parish of Llangollen. Completed in 1805, the cast iron and stone, the 18-arch aqueduct is the highest in the world and carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee.
