12 Places That Celebrities Love to Travel To

We often dream about the lives of celebrities – from their gorgeous homes, to their glittering jewels, to their life in the fast lane. What would it be like – even if only for a long weekend – to sleep in plush bedding, sip champagne before noon, and see if caviar is to our liking? 

One of the best ways to find out is to splurge – after all, we only live once – and live like Hollywood royalty for a moment in time. You’ll quickly find that, by and large, they love to jet set somewhere sunny in between projects. But, there are a few destinations that require a fur-lined coat, as well. Saint-Tropez, France

The French Riviera is one of the best places to soak up the sun. And, with so many beautiful cities and villages, it can be hard to hone in on just one. But, big-time power players like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and David and Victoria Beckham love to come to this beautiful corner of the coastline. Don’t be surprised if you see them out there on mega yachts for the majority of their vacation, occasionally coming onto dry land to enjoy a decadent meal.

St. Bart’s, The Caribbean

Similar to the French Riviera, how do you select just one precious island in all the Caribbean? Well, since the Rockefellers made St. Bart’s popular in the 1950s, it’s been a mainstay for those with deep pockets. It’s just one glamorous resort or private getaway after another when you’re on this island’s time. Even today, someone whose bank account rivals Rockefeller, Jeff Bezos, loves to get away to St. Bart’s, as does Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, and, at least for a little while, Ben Affleck. 

Santorini, Greece

Continuing with the theme of endless horizons, celebrities know Santorini is also on heaven’s doorstep. Some of the all-inclusive resorts here have private villas where celebrities and their teams can spread out unnoticed. Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore, Helen Hunt, and Nicole Scherzinger have brought friends and family here before. And, even for us mere mortals, it’s not outside the realm of possibility to book into one of the island’s all-inclusive resorts and watch the world go by from an infinity pool overlooking the Aegean Sea. 

Lake Como, Italy

Sometimes, it feels like George Clooney – alone – put Lake Como on the map. But, it’s been a luxurious getaway for those who want to escape the crowds while still absorbing every ounce of Italian culture. Clooney’s pal, Julia Roberts, has also been known to cozy up to its shorelines from time to time. Here, you can spend the afternoon on a private boat or savor some gelato in one of the many cafés in town. As an ultra-luxe getaway, despite its inherent star power, Lake Como continues to remain a peaceful paradise.
